On June 9, a press conference for the Netflix series 'Squid Game Season 3' was held at the Grand Ballroom of Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan, Seoul. The event was attended by director Hwang Dong Hyuk and cast members Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Wi Ha Joon, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Wook, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Shim, Jo Yuri, Chae Gook Hee, Lee David, and Noh Jae Won.

Lee Jung Jae shared insights into his character Gi Hun’s evolution in Season 3, saying, “After dealing with guilt over his friend’s death and being unable to save others in the game, Gi Hun changes in Season 3. He becomes more determined and deliberate in his actions inside the arena as he questions what more he can do.”

Lee Byung Hun added, “Gi Hun loses his closest friend, who is killed by the Front Man, and sinks into a state of deep shock and helplessness. But eventually, he regains his conviction, and with a belief in humanity, he devises a plan to bring down the entire system. The Front Man, seeing this transformation, also begins to develop a plan of his own. If Season 2 and 3 are viewed as one continuous story, Season 3 delivers the final chapter. It will be emotionally intense and dramatic, especially as it delves into a full-scale confrontation between Gi Hun and the Front Man.”
Set to premiere on June 27, 'Squid Game 3' follows Gi Hun (played by Lee Jung Jae), who returns to the deadly games with a new purpose after losing his closest friend. It also explores the fate of surviving contestants and the deeper secrets of the masked Front Man (played by Lee Byung Hun), as they all head toward a final, high-stakes showdown.
Following the groundbreaking success of 'Squid Game Season 1' in 2021 and Season 2 in 2024, the third season will serve as the grand finale to the series.
