IVE’s Wonyoung revealed a whole new side of herself, displaying intense determination in the latest episode of their YouTube series.
On June 6, the official YouTube channel of IVE (members: Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) released a new episode of their self-produced content '1,2,3 IVE Season 6' Episode 5, titled 'IVE’s K-POP Operation.'
In the episode, the members took turns drawing cards marked with a number of gems. Each reacted differently, with Rei expressing joy after drawing three gems and Leeseo requesting a redraw after picking zero. When the production team explained that more gem cards could be earned through missions, Yujin jokingly said, “I’m the real gem,” making everyone smile. Wonyoung, who went last and had no choice but to pick the remaining card, commented, “You were waiting for me,” showcasing her signature confidence.
A special K-POP-themed challenge was revealed, perfectly suited for a group with deep roots in the genre. Before the main mission, the members kicked off with a dance warm-up. They performed choreography to IVE’s “TKO,” Orange Caramel’s “Magic Girl,” and ITZY’s “DALLA DALLA,” each showcasing their unique charm and dance moves.
The group continued with a series of K-POP-related games. In the first challenge, “Save the Mic,” the members gave their all. They passionately sang and danced to every song that played, showing how immersed they were in the game. After a close match, Liz and Rei reached the final round. Liz secured the win while Rei was too focused on enjoying T-ara’s “Bo Peep Bo Peep.”
After completing the “Random Curling” game using miscellaneous items, the members expressed how much fun they had. In the next segment, “Unity Karaoke,” the goal was to score a perfect 100 by randomly selecting and singing songs. Even when unfamiliar songs played, the members showed their musical talent by completing the performances and achieving a perfect score on the first try. Yujin and Gaeul stood out by dramatically reciting lyrics, adding a theatrical twist to the challenge.
Other games included the “Dance Challenge,” “National Singing Contest,” “Guess the K-POP Song,” and the “K-POP Emoji Game.” Although Wonyoung initially seemed unsure of herself, saying she might not do well, she ended up surprising everyone with her energy and quick thinking during the emoji game. She took first place, and the members commented that she must have really wanted to win. Yujin, who has known Wonyoung for eight years, laughed and said, “That’s the loudest I’ve ever heard your voice.”
