On June 26, IU shared several photos on her social media account with the caption, “No IU, Yes Now,” implying that the images showed Lee Ji Eun, the person, not IU the singer. IU, whose real name is Lee Ji Eun, often jokingly refers to herself as “Lee Ji Geum” (replacing “Eun” with “Geum,” meaning silver and gold respectively). Her YouTube channel is also named “이지금 (Lee Ji Geum)” in Korean as a playful nod to that.
In the photos, IU appeared completely without makeup, wearing a simple white T-shirt. She was seen in various locations, including indoors, inside a car, and out on the street, casual and relaxed in each setting.
Despite the lack of styling, IU’s youthful charm and undeniable beauty stood out, captivating fans with her effortlessly natural visuals.
