According to an exclusive media outlet report on June 26 KST, actress Shin Si Ah has been newly cast as the female lead of the drama 'Grand Galaxy Hotel'.
It is known that the role was originally offered to actress Go Min Si; however, after an anonymous netizen raised allegations of school bullying against the actress in May of this year, Go Min Si's casting was ultimately called off. Sources also say that filming for the drama has now been pushed back by 3 months due to the lead actress's replacement.
Shin Si Ah, who recently garnered attention as Pyo Nam Kyung in tvN's 'Resident Playbook', will be taking over as the new female lead of 'Grand Galaxy Hotel', taking on her first lead role in a large-budget drama production since her debut. She will star opposite Lee Do Hyun.
Meanwhile, 'Grand Galaxy Hotel' is the latest project headed by scriptwriters Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran (a.k.a the Hong Sisters) and directed by Oh Choong Hwan. It is known as the sequel to tvN's 'Hotel Del Luna' and tells the story of a hotel for ghosts whose owner has gone missing. A new owner named Eun Ha (played by Lee Do Hyun) takes over, brewing trouble for the young hotelier Sang Soon (played by Shin Si Ah).
