Actor Daniel Henney has embarked on a deeply meaningful journey with his beloved dogs, capturing hearts with his sincerity and love.
On May 31, JTBC4 aired the documentary 'Do Everything You Want, Roscoe,' which follows Henney as he travels with his dogs and longtime friend Matthew on a cross-country road trip that has quickly become a hot topic.
The journey spans 2,500 miles, starting in California and traversing eight U.S. states over the course of a week, ending in Michigan.
Henney planned the road trip especially for Roscoe, who loves swimming in Lake Michigan. Sadly, Roscoe was recently diagnosed with T-zone lymphoma, a rare form of cancer, making this journey potentially his last.
With Roscoe’s well-being as the top priority, Henney planned the trip with great care. However, early in the journey, Roscoe began showing allergy symptoms. Henney immediately responded, helping him recover quickly and continue the trip in comfort.
The documentary, co-directed by Henney and Kim Sun Hyung, marks Henney’s directorial debut and offers a sincere look at the often-overlooked emotional realities of life with a pet.
"I wanted to show the side of living with a pet that people don’t usually see," Henney said. "Having a dog means accepting them as family, and I believe you should protect your family to the fullest extent of your ability."
A particularly moving moment came late at night, when Henney gently cared for Roscoe, who had lost his appetite due to chemotherapy. Only after ensuring Roscoe’s comfort did he finally rest—a touching scene that resonated deeply with viewers and pet lovers alike.
'Do Everything You Want, Roscoe' is a heartfelt tribute not only to Roscoe, but to the profound bond between humans and their animal companions.
