CRAVITY’s former leader Serim has opened up about the group’s recent leadership change in a heartfelt message to fans. His words revealed the emotional complexity behind the announcement and shed light on the fact that the members themselves weren’t fully informed ahead of time.
In his message, Serim began by apologizing for the delay in reaching out, explaining that he needed time to collect his thoughts. “You were probably worried because I hadn’t contacted you. I wasn’t sure where to begin either,” he wrote.
He acknowledged that LUVITY, the group’s fans, might be feeling confused or concerned. “It might be hard to accept, and you may have a lot on your mind… but honestly, nothing huge has changed,” Serim reassured. He then revealed that he and the members found out about the leadership change only slightly before the fans did.
“When I first heard, I was so shocked and honestly a bit upset,” he confessed. “But I know that Wonjin and Hyeongjun will do a great job. They’ve always supported CRAVITY in areas fans couldn’t see, so I trust them deeply.”
Serim urged fans to support the new co-leaders, expressing his own continued involvement. “Just like they helped me behind the scenes, now I’ll be beside them helping too. Nothing about CRAVITY is changing—we’re still the same team.”
The singer emphasized that this shift isn’t the result of any incident or personal hardship. “Nothing bad happened. I wasn’t struggling, and it’s not because of anything like that,” he said. Instead, he framed it as a new challenge for the team’s growth and future.
Serim also expressed deep appreciation for LUVITY’s love and concern. “I was really touched by your kind messages and encouragement. It gave me strength.” Reflecting on the past five years, he added, “I realized once again how far we’ve come together.”
He ended with a heartfelt promise: “Let’s continue to support and love one another, just like we always have. I’ll keep working hard to be someone you can be proud of and rely on.”
Serim’s message confirms that, while leadership has changed, CRAVITY’s spirit of teamwork, sincerity, and trust remains the same.
