aespa leader Karina will be taking the stage at Waterbomb Seoul 2025.
On June 10, the organizers of 'Waterbomb 2025' announced via their official website and social media that Karina is scheduled to perform on the second day of the Seoul leg of the festival, which runs from July 4 to 6.
Waterbomb is a major summer music festival held annually in major cities across Korea. It’s famous for its combination of artists’ live performances and refreshing water cannon shows. Blending music and water play, the festival has become a summer staple, drawing massive crowds every year.
Karina debuted with aespa in 2020, gaining attention for the group’s unique universe and AI avatar concept. Since then, the group has built strong recognition through numerous hit songs such as "Black Mamba," "Next Level," "Savage," "Spicy," "Whiplash," "Supernova," and "Armageddon."
In 2023, aespa successfully expanded its global fanbase with their first full-length album and a tour across Europe and Asia. The group also swept major awards at various music ceremonies, solidifying their presence in the industry.
Karina, in particular, stood out as a solo artist with her 2023 solo track "UP," showcasing powerful performances and refined stage presence.
aespa made headlines during their first Waterbomb appearance last year thanks to their stunning visuals and intense performances. Now, with Karina returning to Waterbomb for the first time on her own, anticipation is high for her solo stage.
Waterbomb Seoul 2025 will take place at the outdoor Global Stage at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. The festival will also head to Busan on July 26 and Sokcho on August 23.
Karina will perform on July 5 alongside Jay Park, HUTA (Lee Min Hyuk), fromis_9, Jeon Somi, NCT’s Ten, Loco, Lee Young Ji, tripleS, and dance crew WEDEMBOYZ.
Other confirmed performers include J.Y. Park, ITZY, Chungha, Kep1er, Billlie, 2NE1, EXO’s Kai, Crush, BTOB's Changsub, Kwon Eun Bi, and KISS OF LIFE.
