Disney+ has officially confirmed the 2026 release of its upcoming original series 'Delusion,' gaining attention for the highly anticipated collaboration between director Han Jae Rim and stars Suzy and Kim Seon Ho.
Set in 1935 Gyeongseong, now known as Seoul, 'Delusion' tells the story of Yoon I Ho, a painter commissioned to create a portrait of Song Jung Hwa. She is a mysterious and alluring woman who has remained hidden from the public eye for over fifty years, surrounded by countless rumors and suspicions. As Yoon I Ho becomes more involved in the project, he is drawn into her enigmatic world and begins to uncover secrets that blur the boundaries between illusion and reality.
The series is directed by Han Jae Rim, who has made a name for himself with films such as 'The Show Must Go On,' 'The Face Reader,' 'The King,' and 'Emergency Declaration.' Known for his unique style and ability to balance artistic depth with popular appeal, he received critical acclaim for his first series 'The 8 Show.' In 'Delusion,' he joins forces with Suzy and Kim Seon Ho, two actors known for their distinctive charm and emotional range.
Suzy, who has built a strong filmography with titles including 'Architecture 101,' 'Wonderland,' 'Gu Family Book,' 'While You Were Sleeping,' and 'Start-Up,' takes on the role of Song Jung Hwa. In 'Delusion,' Suzy plays the reclusive owner of Nammun Hotel, a character who has not stepped into the outside world for decades. Kim Seon Ho plays the painter Yoon I Ho, who becomes fascinated by Song Jung Hwa as he works on her portrait. This project reunites him with Suzy following their previous collaboration in 'Start-Up.'
