In celebration of Korea's Children’s Day, actor Jo In Sung carried out a meaningful act of kindness.
According to his agency, BASECAMP Company, on May 5, Jo In Sung — who has been regularly supporting an orphanage in Seoul’s Gangdong District — prepared and gifted sneakers to the children in honor of the holiday.
This act of generosity is part of a tradition by “Manna,” a small group of entertainment industry insiders who donate sneakers to children every Children’s Day and Christmas. This year, Jo In Sung personally joined the initiative, making it all the more heartwarming.
Beyond donating sneakers, Jo In Sung also covers monthly snack expenses for the orphanage. He provides popular treats like tteokbokki, hot dogs, pizza, and birthday cakes for children celebrating their special day.
Last year, during the premiere of the film 'Smugglers', Jo In Sung invited around 30 guests — including teenagers from the orphanage, children with rare or physical conditions, their families, and social workers — a gesture that drew public praise for its sincerity.
Since 2020, Jo In Sung has also quietly participated in initiatives supporting medical treatment for children with rare diseases, becoming a role model through his consistent care for marginalized communities.

Meanwhile, Jo In Sung recently co-founded BASECAMP Company with fellow actor Cha Tae Hyun and has completed filming for his upcoming movies 'Hope' and 'Humint'.
