Actor Im Si Wan has cleared his social media following list, now following only his agency Plum A&C as of 9 a.m. on April 2nd KST. With over 3.73 million followers, the decision to follow just one account has drawn attention.
According to online community posts, Im Si Wan previously followed 87 accounts, including actor Kim Soo Hyun, whose alleged past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron during her teenage years has sparked major controversy.
The two actors formed a bond as part of the “88s” lineup on the MBC variety show ‘Good Day’, alongside G-Dragon, Jung Hae In, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Hwang Kwang Hee. The program features G-Dragon collaborating with personalities across fields to create a “song of the year.”
Following the allegations, some fans had demanded Im Si Wan cut ties with Kim Soo Hyun. Whether Im Si Wan unfollowed him specifically is unclear, but reactions to his social media cleanup have included comments like “It was probably for the best”, “Smart move”, and “Good timing to do a spring cleaning.”
