On April 7, actress and former Jewelry member Yewon, whose real name is Kim Yewon, openly talked about having nose surgery in a video she shared on her YouTube channel.
In the video, titled “Back After 7 Months… With a Slightly Different Vibe,” she responded to comments about her appearance. “I saw more comments than I expected about my nose,” she said. “It’s not something I’m trying to hide.”
A friend featured in the video mentioned that Yewon has always looked younger than her age and had a baby-faced charm. “But that kind of image can be a bit limiting, especially for an actress,” the friend said. Yewon agreed, adding, “I just wanted a slightly different image — maybe just a spoonful of maturity.”
She went on to say, “A lot of people asked why I did it. To be clear, it hasn’t been that long since the surgery. I know many people liked how I looked before, and I’m really thankful for that. But I personally wanted to soften my babyish features a bit, so I lifted the tip of my nose just slightly.”
Yewon also talked about her career goals, saying she’s been busy with special appearances, auditions, and meetings. “I’m going to keep giving my best — both in acting and variety shows,” she said.
