The group TREASURE has completed an early contract renewal with their agency, YG Entertainment.
On the 23rd, TREASURE appeared on SBS PowerFM’s 'Cultwo Show'. The group, returning with their new song “Yellow” just three months after their last release, also shared that group leadership has shifted from Choi Hyun Suk and Ji Hoon to Park Jeong Woo and Asahi.
Asahi commented, “I’m a pacifist. I’ll make sure no fights break out within the team,” drawing laughter and attention from listeners.
TREASURE introduced their new track “Yellow,” explaining, “It’s a song that expresses the warmth of encountering love through the color yellow.” Member Asahi, who wrote and composed the song, added, “When I see the color yellow, it brings feelings of joy, happiness, and warmth, so I wanted to reflect that in the song.”
Jung Woo added, “We prepared a softer song compared to our previous tracks, and I’m happy that fans are enjoying it.”
Looking ahead to their overseas tour, TREASURE announced they will perform in nine cities: four in North America (New York, Washington D.C., Oakland, Los Angeles), four in Japan (Hyogo, Aichi, Fukuoka, Saitama), and in Seoul.
Meanwhile, news of TREASURE’s early contract renewal with YG Entertainment also drew attention, especially as early renewals are rare and often seen as a sign of strong artist-agency trust.
