Both IU and Byun Woo Seok's sides have denied earlier reports claiming that the two lead actors had pulled out of the MBC drama '21st Century Princess Consort' (working title).
Earlier on March 28 KST, one exclusive media outlet reported that IU and Byun Woo Seok had withdrawn from '21st Century Princess Consort' due to differing preferences over the production's global distribution platform.
A representative of IU's EDAM Entertainment has since stepped up to clarify, "IU has not withdrawn from '21st Century Princess Consort'. She is currently preparing for her role as scheduled." Byun Woo Seok's Baro Entertainment likewise denied the report, confirming the actor's appearance in the series.
Meanwhile, '21st Century Princess Consort' tells the story of a daughter from a chaebol family who wants to be more than an ordinary civilian, and a modern day prince who can't have an ordinary life.
