Kim Soo Hyun’s endorsement with cosmetic brand Dinto put on hold amid controversy.
As Kim Soo Hyun faces allegations of having been in a six-year relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron starting from when she was a minor, Dinto CEO Ahn Ji Hye has issued a statement regarding the actor’s status as the brand’s model.
On March 10th KST, Ahn initially responded to the controversy, saying, “For now, I plan to trust and wait. Rather than being swayed by uncertain claims, I want to focus on what I can and must do.”
However, after facing backlash, Ahn issued a more formal statement:
“I sincerely apologize for the confusion and discomfort caused by my previous message. The statement I posted between the evening of March 10th and the early hours of March 11th was meant to indicate that I was monitoring the situation and waiting for a clearer understanding of the facts before making any hasty decisions. I take full responsibility for any misunderstandings that arose from my words.”
Ahn further revealed that Dinto’s entire staff has since been reviewing the facts and discussing their response. As a result, all scheduled activities involving Kim Soo Hyun as the brand’s model have been put on hold.
