Johnny Somali, the American streamer who previously caused outrage in South Korea by mocking the 'Statue of Peace' and causing disturbances in a convenience store, has now been spotted at a protest held by far-right demonstrators.
On March 28, a post on an online community shared photos of Johnny Somali roaming around Anguk Station near the Constitutional Court the previous day.
Somali was seen holding a paper placard distributed by supporters of President Yoon Suk Yeol and shouting, "CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Out." On the same day, he was reportedly struck on the head by a passerby who recognized him near Jongno 5-ga Station.
Netizens reacted with frustration, commenting, "It's illegal for foreigners to participate in political protests. He should be reported again," "Does he live in Korea now?" and "He really just does whatever he wants."
Previously, in October last year, Somali was prosecuted for disrupting convenience store operations in Seoul by blasting loud music, intentionally spilling instant noodle soup on tables, and harassing employees.
He has also caused public nuisance by carrying foul-smelling fish in the streets, disturbing passengers on buses and subways, and engaging in other disruptive behaviors.
Furthermore, he sparked nationwide outrage during a YouTube livestream by engaging in inappropriate behavior toward the 'Statue of Peace,' a monument commemorating the victims of wartime sexual slavery known as comfort women.
