NewJeans’ Hyein went for a walk around the neighborhood with Park Myung Soo, despite knowing it might make Danielle jealous.
The December 6 episode of the YouTube channel HalMyungSoo’s Yeonhui-dong special became a hot topic. On the show, Park Myung Soo joined NewJeans’ youngest member Hyein for a walk through Yeonhui-dong, providing both healing and laughter.
The episode turned a simple neighborhood stroll into a meaningful moment where they rediscovered each other’s charms.
At the beginning of the broadcast, Park Myung Soo was in his car, spraying hair concealer on his head while waiting for the guest to arrive. When Hyein appeared without revealing her identity at first, Park Myung Soo greeted her warmly, saying, “You said you couldn’t come because you injured your foot. Are you okay now?” Hyein responded with a laugh, “I thought I absolutely had to come this time. But Danni unnie (Danielle) was jealous because she also wanted to come.”
To this, Park Myung Soo replied, “Danielle came last time... so this time it’s Hyein’s turn.” From their very first meeting, the two showcased a delightful chemistry, lifting the mood with their playful banter.
Hyein expressed her deep affection for Yeonhui-dong, sharing that it was a place she often visited before her debut. She shared, “I loved the calm and relaxing atmosphere, so I came here alone a lot." In response, Park Myung Soo remarked, “Hyein doesn’t feel like a celebrity; she feels like my daughter’s friend,” revealing his special fondness for her.
He also shared a humorous anecdote about his daughter Minseo’s reaction to hearing about Hyein’s appearance on the show, saying she responded with a playful “Hmph,” adding to the laughter.
The duo explored trendy spots in Yeonhui-dong, such as photo studios and accessory shops, showcasing a laid-back and approachable side. Hyein's honest and easygoing personality made her relatable to viewers, while Park Myung Soo's humorous reactions added a comforting and cheerful vibe to the episode.
One particularly heartwarming moment that garnered attention was when Hyein mentioned, "It was quite a while ago (two years), but I used to come to Yeonhui-dong alone often," while smiling warmly at Park Myung Soo, comparing him to a comforting and kind father figure.
