(G)I-DLE’s Minnie confirms solo debut in January.
On December 3rd KST, it was reported that Minnie will release her first solo album in January next year. This marks her official solo debut since starting her career with (G)I-DLE.
It is reported that Minnie is pouring her heart into the album production, including song selection and creative processes, to showcase her unique style as a solo artist.
This solo debut is drawing even more attention as it comes shortly after Minnie renewed her contract with Cube Entertainment. On December 2nd, Cube Entertainment announced that all members of (G)I-DLE had renewed their contracts, stating, “We will spare no effort in supporting the group to solidify their brand and aim for even greater achievements on bigger stages.”
With her upcoming solo album, Minnie is expected to reveal a fresh charm distinct from her previous activities as part of (G)I-DLE.
Earlier this year, fellow member Yuqi achieved significant success with her first mini-album ‘YUQ1,’ surpassing 550,000 copies sold in its first week. Anticipation is high to see if Minnie can demonstrate equally impressive strength as a solo artist.
