On December 2nd, EXO's former member Tao announced his marriage through a post on Weibo. Tao shared the caption, "Goal achieved," along with several photos.
The photos featured Tao holding a Chinese marriage certificate, known as buzheng, alongside actress Xu Yiyang, with whom he had been publicly dating. In China, this certificate is issued upon official marriage registration.
Xu Yiyang, Tao's wife, is a former SM Rookies member. She gained attention in 2016 when she was introduced alongside aespa's Ningning. Later, she debuted in China in 2019 as part of the group Legal High.
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in July through posts on their respective Weibo accounts. In August, Tao proposed to Xu Yiyang, marking another milestone in their relationship.
Tao originally debuted as a member of EXO in 2012 but left the group in 2015. He is currently active in China.
