G-Dragon has successfully reclaimed the "G-DRAGON" trademark from YG Entertainment

G-Dragon has successfully reclaimed the rights to his name from YG Entertainment.

According to official documents, it has been confirmed that G-Dragon reclaimed the trademark for his name on May 17. Just four days later, on May 21, the trademark was transferred to Galaxy Corporation, his current agency.


Previously, YG Entertainment had owned the trademark for the name "G-Dragon" for over 20 years, dating back to 2003. G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, had selected "G-Dragon" as his stage name in 2001, two years before YG Entertainment secured the trademark.
