Musical actress Kim Hwan Hee, currently starring in the musical 'Next to Normal,' has recently revealed that she had discovered a hidden filming camera in the dressing room.

The April 12 report from The Financial News disclosed that Kim Hwan Hee found an illegal hidden camera in the dressing room on the 6th floor of the Kwanglim Arts Center building. She reported the discovery directly to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on April 9.

According to the report, the actress found the camera hidden on a sofa inside the dressing room, which was used by the cast members of the musical 'Next to Normal.'

Media outlet Korea Ilbo disclosed that following this incident, the individuals involved are now under police investigation. The musical's cast comprises of Kim Hwan Hee, Choi Jeong Won, Lee Geon Myeong, Michael Lee, Sandeul, and Yoo Hee Seung.

NP&Company
, the production company behind the musical, responded, "We are currently cooperating with the police investigation," and added, "We are awaiting the outcome of the investigation."

The incident has reignited industry concerns over the recurring issue of illegal hidden cameras targeting actresses. In 2018, during the filming of the Olive TV show 'Borderless Pocha,' illegal filming devices were discovered in the dormitories of actresses Shin Se Kyung and Yoon Bo Mi. The individual responsible for installing the camera was subsequently sentenced to prison.

Born in 1991, Kim Hwan Hee made her debut in 2015 with the musical 'Fantasia' and has since showcased her talent in productions such as 'On A Starry Night', 'Memories of Matsuko', 'Tomorrow Morning', 'Bernarda Alba', 'Hadestown', 'Kinky Boots', and 'Mamma Mia', among others.

Here we go with this again. It's too bad there isn't a booster shot to inoculate the country against this pandemic. I am generally ok with saying, "A countries, laws are its laws, and if people want change, they should fight for it" People really need to fight for it. I advocate that anyone who violates the privacy of another gets to have their privacy violated. Public Shaming and the consequences thereof might not serve as a tremendous deterrent, but it might be cathartic.

Technology is our best friend and our worst enemy.

Not to worry tho, I'm sure that if they catch the guy who did this, he'll spend a long weekend in jail at the very most.
