"May your days be joyful" wishes IU as she donates 500,000 US Dollars

IU posted a donation certificate on her official SNS on the 1st. She donated a total of 500,000 US dollars to four organizations, including the Korea Senior Citizens Welfare Association.

She carefully attended to the needs of the marginalized. IU donated 386,000 US dollars to support heating oil for the elderly in vulnerable communities, helping them spend a warm winter.

She also contributed to the welfare enhancement of youth in child welfare facilities, single-mother families, and people with disabilities in residential facilities. 

IU expressed, "The new year has dawned. While it may not be possible to be happy all 365 days of the year, I hope you have far more joyful days than sad ones. Please stay healthy."

This move is characteristic of IU, known as a leading philanthropist in the entertainment industry. She has been consistently involved in charitable works since her debut. Last year, she supported the medically vulnerable with a donation of 230,000 US dollars.
