On January 19 KST, HyunA's agency AT AREA responded to various media inquiries regarding the female soloist's dating news with the curt comment, "Dating is a matter that is strictly private to the artist. ATAREA does not interfere in the private affairs of its artists."
Likewise, a representative of Yong Junyung's agency Black Made also stated, "We cannot confirm anything related to the artist's private life. Please understand."
Previously on January 18, HyunA caused a storm online by revealing a photo of her holding hands with Yong Junhyung on her Instagram, also adding a couple emoji and writing, "Please watch over us with affection." Yong Junhyung also shared the same image on his Instagram, confirming that the man in the image was him.
Meanwhile, both HyunA and Yong Junhyung have gone public with their past romantic relationships. HyunA publicly dated musician Dawn from 2018 until November of 2022. Yong Junhyung publicly dated the late KARA member Goo Hara for about 2-years beginning in 2011.
