Will BTOB be able to use their group name?

There is a positive outlook that fans will be able to see BTOB on stage using their original group name soon.

According to an entertainment industry insider, on December 18, BTOB is consulting with Cube Entertainment regarding the group's name use. It has been reported that BTOB will be able to use the group name without significant restrictions through working-level discussion with the group's former agency, Cube Entertainment.

In particular, the group's name, BTOB, can now be freely used on broadcasts, social media, etc. It is known that efforts are being made to ensure the group's logos and emblems required for merchandise and albums can also be used following entertainment industry practices.

This latest case is expected to dispel any misunderstandings that formed due to the 'Highlight' incident, in which B2ST was unable to use the group name and ultimately rebranded the group to be called Highlight.

An official from Cube Entertainment stated, "Initially, we did not place any restrictions on using the group name during broadcasts or performances. And we are also proactively approaching other matters in accordance with industry practices. Cube Entertainment also supports the new journey of BTOB, who have been with us for 11 years."

In the aftermath of BTOB's contract expiration with Cube Entertainment, the group is strategically navigating their comeback as a whole while simultaneously pursuing individual endeavors. Changsub has entered a new exclusive contract with Fantagio, while Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Hyunsik, and Peniel have opted to sign contracts with a different company.
