K-pop idol MJ, a member of the boy group ASTRO, was discharged from the military on November 8, 2023.
MJ held a live broadcast on ASTRO's official YouTube channel on the day of his discharge to communicate with fans for the first time in a long time.
MJ enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier in May 2022 and served his military duty in the military band for about 1 year and 6 months. After fulfilling his military service, MJ greeted fans through a live broadcast without any special discharge ceremony.
The broadcast was MJ's first meeting with fans since his discharge, and he showed his fans a variety of sides of himself that he had not been able to show before, including a Q&A corner and a talk about his recent activities.
Expectations are high for what MJ will do next as he returns with a more mature image after completing his military service
