The Incheon Metropolitan Police have spoken up about the ongoing rumors that at least one or more female celebrities are also involved in the recent wave of illegal drug use investigations.

A representative of the Drug Crime Investigation Unit told media outlets on October 26 KST, "The rumor that a top idol-turned-actress is currently facing an internal investigation is not true." The rep further stressed that no female celebrities, including former or current girl group members, are facing investigations at this time. 

Earlier, online rumors claimed that "one 1st-generation idol female idol who is now married" and "one popular member of a top-tier girl group" were also involved in the series of illegal drug investigations surrounding a private, VIP nighttime establishment located in Gangnam. Actor Lee Sun Gyun was first identified as a regular customer of this Gangnam establishment, and police intend on summoning the actor for questioning soon. Musician G-Dragon was the next celebrity to be booked for suspected use of illegal drugs, although the police do not believe that G-Dragon was a customer of the mentioned Gangnam establishment.

Finally, the police advised people to refrain from any speculations surrounding the investigations, which could tarnish the images of certain individuals.
