On the 30th, Saram Entertainment made an official announcement through their channels, stating, "We would like to report recent instances of illegal social media advertising pretending to be actress Uhm Jung Hwa." They further clarified that "our agency's artists never engage in investment recommendations or financial proposals under any circumstances."

The statement also emphasized that Uhm Jung Hwa does not have any personal social media accounts outside her official Instagram account (@umaizing) and urged people to exercise caution to avoid falling victim to these fake accounts.

Uhm Jung Hwa herself shared her frustration by posting a screenshot of the fake account and expressed her anger, saying, "These people are terrible!"

This warning from Uhm Jung Hwa follows similar warnings from other celebrities, including broadcasters Hong Jin-kyung, Oh Jung-yeon, Hwang Hyun-hee, Kim Jae-joong, and BamBam, who have also raised concerns about the rising number of impersonation accounts.
