On September 6, the VMAs announced through its official social media page that BLACKPINK and TXT are the finalists for the title of 'Group of the Year.' Unfortunately for fans, this means that Seventeen, NewJeans, and FIFTY FIFTY have been eliminated.

BLACKPINK has taken the world by storm and shattered records with their music videos and singles. They are one of the most prominent girl groups in K-pop history and amassed millions of followers globally.

TXT is also a strong contender as they are consistently and steadily rising as one of the most popular K-pop boy bands. The boys have captivated fans with their unique boyish concept and have earned them praise for their musical abilities.
