I feel like this is a major reason why some fans believe they really do have a chance to be in a relationship an idol. Calling a fan a girlfriend/boyfriend or friend only exacerbates the unhealthy mindset a lot of fans have. It’s a sweet gift but just say it was from a fan and nothing more. It helps keep that line separated.
