Girl group MAMAMOO has successfully wrapped up the Seoul encore stages for their "MY:CON" world tour.
On June 18, rekindled the spirit of their moniker "BelisMamamoo" during the three-night encore of their "MAMAMOO MY:CON" concert at Seoul's Olympic Handball Gymnasium. A testament to their enduring prowess, this title was given to them nine years ago by the Korean general public, in recognition of their exceptional live vocals and vivid, fiery stage performances.
This nearly decade-old vocal group did not disappoint, demonstrating once again why the title "BelisMamamoo" ("Believe and Listen to Mamamoo") still holds relevance. Their resonating vocals and vibrant performances continue to blaze a trail in the K-pop scene, reiterating their commitment to delivering high-quality music and immersive experiences for their fans.
Rather than delivering a regular encore, MAMAMOO completely changed up their performance for the encore stages, making significant changes in the setlist, performance dynamics, outfits, and more. This reimagined approach led many to comment that the three encore nights felt akin to a brand new concert, an impressive feat given the girls put it together in less than two weeks after returning to South Korea from the USA leg of their tour.
The group went above and beyond, modifying the setlist, and choreography, adding unique duet and collaborative stages, and more, ensuring a fresh experience for their home city fans. Since the world tour began in Seoul, the members did not want to repeat the same stages for their encore, aiming to offer an early anniversary gift for their fans, as the group's ninth anniversary fell on June 19.
Each night offered a new surprise, like adding the song "Waggy" on the second night and "4x4ever" for the final encore stage. Everything about their encore performances, from their styling to vocals, and their interactions with fans, was elevated to a whole new level. The group even performed with a live band, creating a truly unforgettable experience for their fans after a long hiatus.
