The K-Drama Brothers We Wish We Had In Real Life

While it's often said that having a brother can be more of a nuisance than a blessing, they aren't always a bother, right? They can also serve as your gallant protectors, standing by your side through trials and tribulations. At least, that's the impression we get from K-Dramas. Let's delve into eight on-screen brothers from K-Dramas that we secretly wish were part of our real-life families.

Go Kyung Pyo in “Reply 1988”

Go Kyung Pyo was just the sweetest in the drama. He was not only a sweet son and friend but also the sweetest brother. His character, Sun Woo, is the much older brother of Jin Joo. He dotes his sister so much he is willing to do anything for her. If I were to have a brother like him, my partner would have a pretty high bar to reach.

Seo Kang Joon from “Cheese in the Trap”

Before he plays the best boyfriend, Seo Kang Joon plays the best brother. Although he pretends not to care, he will protect you no matter what. He will always forgive and love you no matter what you do or how bad of a fight you both get into.

Hwang In Yeop in “True Beauty”

In case we forgot and only remember him as the second lead who is also in love with the female lead, he is also the sweetest brother. Han Seo Jun's character was already perfect, but his protective nature over his little sister and their adorable relationship made him even more swoon-worthy. Where do I sign up for one?

Yoon Na Moo in “Melting Me Softly”

If your brother recognizes you after 20 years of not seeing each other, he's a real one, and that's exactly what Ko Nam Tae did. He had such a special and deep relationship with his sister; they rely on each other to get through everything.

Park Seo Joon from “Kill Me, Heal Me”

Park Seo Joon plays Oh Ri On, a brother who is undyingly devoted to his sister. They both had such an open relationship, they shared their hardships together, and find strengths within each other. When life gets tough, having a brother like Ri On is what you need.

Kim Taehyung from “Hwarang”

There's nothing this man can't do. In this popular 2016 series, he played a sweet adorable brother who is innocent and carefree. Despite the burden he carries and family issues, he never leaves his positive attitude behind. His selfless self is always so willing to do anything for the people around him!

Kim Young Dae in “The Penthouse”

When you're under the control and wrath of your crazy father and difficult upbringing, having a supportive and sweet twin brother is needed. That's the only way for you to cope. Joo Seok Hoon would always provide emotional support to his sister and even offer himself to get hit by their dad in his sister's place. As if they were the only two people in the world, there's nothing he would not do to protect his sister.

Song Joong Ki in “The Innocent Man”

Kang Ma Ru might not be the best person, but as an older brother, he takes the best title. He is willing to do anything for his little sister, who is his number one priority. Despite not having anything to his name, he will make sure his ill sister is always taken care of. He’s such an affectionate and reliable brother!
