EXO's Chanyeol has donated 20 million won ($15,115.34 USD) in honor of Children's Day.
On May 4, The Snail of Love revealed Chanyeol donated the money to be used to support cochlear implant surgery and speech rehabilitation for hearing-impaired children. The EXO member formed a relationship with the charity organization in January of 2021 when he began sponsoring to support the deaf.
Chanyeol expressed, "I wanted to give a special gift to deaf children on Children's Day, so I sponsored them. I hope that children who've undergone surgery can listen to sounds, communicate with the world, and grow up healthily."
