IU's "Good Day" is the next song she will no longer perform at her concerts?

AKP STAFF

There's a witness testimony that IU has declared her intention to stop singing "Good Day" at her concerts.

Producer Crazy Music appeared on the new episode of SBS Power FM radio program 'Kim Young Chul's Power FM' as a special guest on April 28. On this day, the producer talked about the song with the highest key sung by a female singer and introduced IU's "Good Day."

He explained, "This is the song that brought about the 'three-key' syndrome in Korea. The highest key that this song hits is F#. It's a song that has a high note but you have to maintain the key for a long time so it's a really difficult song to perform."

Crazy Music then shared, "While singing this song during her concert last year, IU told everyone that it would be her last time singing the high three-key song. IU said that she has to protect her throat now."

"Good Day," which was included in IU's 3rd mini-album 'Real' released in December 2010, was selected as 'The 3rd Melon Music Awards - Best Song of the Year' and '9th Korean Music Awards - Song of the Year'. With this song, IU took the title of the national younger sister.

This man just be saying things she never actually said. IU didn't say it's to protect her throat or that it'll be the last time she'll sing the song. She's just retiring it from her official concert set list. Reasons she actually gave: 1. She's been singing it since she was 18 and has become a predictable highlight to her concerts. 2. Her elementary school-aged fans no longer know the song.

She's still willing to sing Good Day in other events or if the fans ask for it. IU has a habit of graduating songs from her concert set list- Marshmallow a few years ago, Good Day & Palette last year.

Smart move. She is getting older. So many don't take care of their vocal chords and they lose their voice later. John Bon Jovi and Miljenko Matajevic are two examples of that.
