Apink's Eunji is set to star opposite Lee Sang Yup for the new drama 'Genie, Earth.'
The drama's genre is a blend of fantasy, melodrama, action, and comedy. According to a recent news release by JTBC Entertainment, Lee Sang Yup and Jeong Eunji have been selected as the lead actors for the production. Representatives from both actors' agencies have confirmed that they are currently reviewing the proposal and considering the offer with great interest.
'Genie, Earth' tells the tale of Kyu-Tae, a former prosecutor who unexpectedly acquires superhuman abilities after exposure to alien substances. Armed with his newfound powers, Kyu-Tae sets out to take on the forces of darkness determined to seize control of the planet.
In the drama, Lee Sang-yup plays Oh Kyu-Tae, a former prosecutor and now unemployed. He is a person who faces a reversal of his desperate life by communicating with an unknown being. Jeong Eunji will play a former special forces counterterrorism unit instructor. She helps Lee Sang-yup to save the world.
