BLACKPINK Makes History: Becomes First Music Artist to Hit 85 Million YouTube Subscribers

BLACKPINK continues to show their vast impact globally by continuing to set records even without having any music releases this year.

BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel has just surpassed 85 Million subscribers, a number that no other Asian act or music artist has ever achieved in the platform's history.

The superstar quartet are now the first music artists to surpass that number in YouTube history.

BLACKPINK has once again elevated the status of Kpop and South Korea with this record, even quickly making them the #1 trend on MelOn.

Additionally, BLACKPINK is the Asian Act with the most viewed channel on YouTube and the second most viewed music artist in history, behind only JUSTIN BIEBER.

Justin Bieber has 29.95 Billion views while BLACKPINK has 29.48 Billion, and Kpop fans are predicting that with the release of BLACKPINK's JISOO solo on March 31, the numbers on BLACKPINK's official channel will increase exponentially, so we'll see in the next few months a titanic fight between BLACKPINK and JUSTIN BIEBER for the title of most watched music channel on the platform.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK!

Look at all those extremely talented artists they have passed like Shakira, Ed Sheeran, Taylor’s Swift and Eminem. Just goes to show YouTube subs and views done equate to talent or decent music 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wonder if YouTube cleaned up their website similar to Netflix and started checking for multiple accounts under the same household or device or whatever, and report the actual number of subscribers.
