BTS's Jimin is showing his global appeal by featuring in reputable fashion magazines.

On the 4th of February, Esquire Taiwan's editor Shelly Lai announced that Jimin would be gracing the cover of the Esquire International Chinese edition for the month of February. In the same way, Indonesia's DA MAN Magazine, in conjunction with Dior, released news of Jimin being their February/March 2023 cover star in the country's popular English-language Men's magazine.

For his feature in Esquire Magazine, it was reported that as the newly appointed global ambassador of Dior, Jimin would be the cover star, and the photos and interviews from W Korea would be featured in the magazine as well as on their site. Esquire reported on the news by mentioning all of the things that Jimin has managed to do this year. They spoke of his upcoming album, his Dior global brand ambassadorship spearheaded by creative director Kim Jones who designed costumes for BTS in 2019. As the global ambassador, Jimin embodies the spirit of Dior's modern style, and in his interview, Jimin expressed that he would take the chance to learn more about fashion and contribute to the brand.

The piece went on to mention Jimin's debut with BTS as precipitated by his outstanding skills when he attended the Busan Arts High School; after just six months of training, he made his debut as the main dancer and lead vocal. Jimin is the one responsible for BTS's most difficult routines, with his name frequently appearing on the Best Dancer polls. The article then talked about BIGBANG's Taeyang and Jimin's song "Vibe," which quickly became a sensation, exposing Jimin's sensuous singing and dancing as well as the beautiful chemistry between the two.


The full interview is available in Issue 210 of Esquire International Chinese edition (Esquire Taiwan), and upon its release, the magazine was found to have gone out of stock in Taiwan's largest online bookstore, "Books." Upon restocking and a reduction from 5 copies to 1 per individual purchase, the edition was once again sold out, showcasing Jimin's great impact as future restocks may be expected. Another fan from Taiwan shared being surprised that the magazine was also sold out on "Eslite," one of Taiwan's largest retail bookstore chains, as it's not easy for that to happen

On South Korea's Yes24, Jimin's Esquire Taiwan February cover was found to be the Bestselling foreign book. Incredibly on the 8th, it was also found that Jimin's W Korea Magazine covers were the Best selling for the month of January. This was so on the two biggest South Korean bookstores, Yes24 and Aladin; they took the 1st to 6th spots on the monthly Bestseller lists.

With W Korea, Jimin was the First and Only individual to get six covers and an international pre-order on eBay and Amazon, where they also sold out instantly. The covers dominated realtime, daily weekly, and monthly Bestseller lists of Yes 24, Aladin and Kyobobook, G Market's Music/Books category, and overall Bestseller on Rakuten and Qoo10 and Ktown4u platforms.

In 2022 his D'Festa Lenticular cover was also the best-selling magazine for the month of July on Yes24, based on online and stores sales data as reported in August. It was also the top Bestseller on Kyobobook weekly and Aladin's real-time 5 pm Bestselling chart at the time.

Jimin's magazines have always been favorite among fans and the public, selling out everywhere. For instance, in 2021, his GQ Korea individual cover was leading among the Bestsellers on Yes24, Aladin, and Kyobobook for three days in a row. From its release, Jimin's WSJ single cover magazine got the highest monthly chart sales of Yes24 and InterPark for all BTS members, as the only Top 10 of InterPark monthly chart and only Top 10 and Top 20 of Yes24 monthly chart. This was after leading the sales index on Yes24, Aladdin, Kyobobook, and InterPark.
