BTS will not be performing at the new president's inauguration ceremony

AKP STAFF

Earlier last week, there were reports that BTS is under discussion to perform at the inauguration ceremony that will be held on May 10.

President-elect Yoon Seok Yeol explained that the Presidential transition committee is discussing a performance by BTS at the inauguration ceremony on the 10th of May.

However, it has been finalized that the global boy group will not be performing at the inauguration ceremony. The group will not be invited to perform due to the budgeting issue for the ceremony.

Park Joo Sun, chairman of the inauguration preparations, explained, "We concluded that we could not invite BTS this time because we also had difficulties in hosting a world-famous idol star with a limited budget for preparing for the inauguration ceremony."

That’s a very good choice to not get involved in political activities.
