The 'low-rise' fashion will be making a comeback. Leading fashion brands are starting to introduce a low-rise style one after another in their 2022 Spring/Summer collections, and celebrities are also seen wearing this low-rise style.

According to fashion industry experts, luxury fashion brands recently unveiled a low-rise style in the 2022 Spring/Summer collection. Chanel showed off a low-rise style that reveals the underwear lining above the skirt that rested just on the pelvic line. The Italian luxury brand Miu Miu also presented a fashion style with a crop top knit with a mini-skirt worn lower than the waistline. 

Many celebrities are also fashioning this low-rise look. Last month, Girls' Generation's YoonA adorned the covers of Elle magazine wearing a low-rise mini-skirt, exposing her slim waistline. The low rise increased the sensuality of the outfit YoonA was seen wearing in the pictorial and accentuated her slender waist.

Actress Kim Tae Ri attended the production presentation of tvN's 'Twenty-five, Twenty-one' earlier this month and wore a yellow blouse and a long skirt that was worn below her waist on her pelvic line. Likewise, low-rise fashion can be worn without exposing the bare waist.

A fashion industry official said, "Low-rise is a style that was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and trended in South Korea when it was seen on Lee Hyori and Paris Hilton at the end of the century. It is very similar to the end of this century. It seems that the sensibility of that time has been revived through fashion.”
