BTS's V becomes the 1st Korean soloist to gain over 100 million streams under their Spotify account in 2022

Although we are only three months into 2022, Kim Taehyung is already leading in records for Korean soloists this year, with many music achievements under his belt.

V's own Spotify account is the first by a Korean soloist to gain over 100 million streams in 2022 so far, without him releasing a new song this year. 

He achieved it with just 3 OSTs to his name, namely 'Christmas Tree,' 'Sweet Night,' and 'It's Definitely You.' 

Taehyung's most recent OST 'Christmas Tree' for the 2021 K-drama series 'Our Beloved Summer' also surpassed 100 million digital points on Gaon Chart. 

Taehyung also joined PSY as the only Korean male artists to surpass 1 million shazams on a song after 'Christmas Tree' achieved that record. 

Taehyung proved he is successful as a soloist on both domestic and international music platforms.  Fans are eagerly looking forward to his mixtape that is expected to be released this year.
