According to various media outlet reports on December 9, Kakao TV has decided to cancel the drama remake of 'Bungee Jumping', even after casting Lee Hyun Wook and NCT's Jaehyun.

Previously, Kakao TV announced plans to produce a drama remake of the 2001 film 'Bungee Jumping', originally starring Lee Byung Hun and Lee Eun Joo. The plans included a close collaboration with the original production crew behind the 2001 film to ensure that the remake stayed true to the original story.

However, a representative of Kakao revealed, "During the planning process, we received words of concern from the original scriptwriter. Although the copyrights to the original production belong to the production company, which we are working closely with, after a thorough discussion, it was ultimately decided that Kakao would respect the wishes of the original scriptwriter and not go through with the drama remake."

Kakao also relayed its apologies toward the actors who were already cast in the drama remake of 'Bungee Jumping', Lee Hyun Wook and NCT's Jaehyun.
