Hanteo chart will be launching the first ever '2021 Hanteo Music Awards' ('HMA') in partnership with the Whosfan app.
Taking place as a digital ceremony this year due to the spread of COVID-19, the '2021 Hanteo Music Awards' will announce the winners of 6 special award categories unique to the Hanteo chart: ▲ The First Week Sales Record Award ▲ The Artist Award ▲ The Rookie Award ▲ The Whosfan Fandom Award ▲ The Special Award.
As its name indicates, the First Week Sales Record Award will be given to the artist who set the highest record for first-week sales in 2021. The Artist Award will be given to the artist who had the greatest influence in the success of the music industry in 2021, while the Rookie Award will chose the best new artist who represented 2021.
