"Filter" by Jimin reaches a new milestone on iTunes, and extends its records on the Billboard WDSS chart and various music streaming platforms

"Filter," released on February 21, 2020, in the 'Map of the Soul: 7' album, has been breaking records since day one. It recorded the highest number of streams for a Korean solo artist in the first 24 hours on Spotify, the biggest music streaming platform in the world. It also ranked second on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart as the highest solo song from the album, only behind the title track. The impressive achievements have not slowed down till now.

On August 30, Jimin topped the Venezuela iTunes chart with Filter. He became the first Korean artist to not just enter the chart but also rise to the top. With this new achievement, Filter attained 114 #1's on iTunes around the world. By so doing, it extended its record as the highest-charting BTS solo song and overall B-Side track in the history of iTunes worldwide. Celebrations from fans for the new record saw various hashtags and keywords trending on Twitter.

Previously, Filter had also been the first song by a Korean artist to chart on Turkmenistan iTunes, when it topped the chart on April 8, to attain 111 number ones globally. Later on, other BTS songs achieved #1s on the chart, but Jimin remains the only solo artist to have entered and topped this chart. All his solo songs and his self-produced sub-unit song 'Friends' have topped this chart.

On the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, Filter ranked #17 on the chart dated September 4, 2021. This is the 75th week that the song is on the chart, thereby extending its record as the longest-charting Korean song among the 2020 releases. Additionally, Filter remains the highest-charting Korean solo song by a group on the chart, considering all weeks combined. It has stayed inside the top 10 ranks of the chart for 54 weeks.

On Spotify, Filter attained 194 million streams on August 31, remaining to be the most streamed solo song from the 'Map of the Soul: 7'  album. It is also the second most-streamed solo song overall by BTS on the platform, attaining this milestone in just about a year and a half after its release. The song currently ranks 8th on the BTS most popular tracklist on Spotify.

On YouTube, Filter attained 68 million streams on August 27, thereby extending its record as the most-streamed Korean solo audio track on the platform.

On Melon, the song attained 119 million streams on August 26. It continues to be the most streamed solo song by a Korean idol group on the platform.

Filter's achievements keep pouring in by the day, and it does not seem like they will come to an end any time soon.

Congratulations, Jimin, for the new records on different platforms.
