On January 1, various media outlets confirmed that announcer Do Kyung Hwan has submitted a resignation letter to his broadcasting station KBS, where he's been represented for 13-years.
In response to the reports, Do Kyung Wan's side curtly commented, "It's true that I submitted a resignation letter. However, nothing about the future is confirmed." It's suspected that Do Kyung Hwan will begin promoting as a freelancer, going back and forth between hosting positions and variety positions.
It's also suspected that Do Kyung Wan and his family will soon leave the cast of KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' soon as a result of the resignation, in addition to the announcer's other KBS2 programs. While 'The Return of Superman' has yet to make any definite announcements regarding Do Kyung Wan's complete departure from the show, the announcer will no longer participate as a narrator. Instead, according to KBS on January 1, "HaHa will begin participating as a narrator for 'The Return of Superman' starting with this weekend's broadcast on January 3."
Meanwhile, announcer Do Kyung Hwan, his wife Jang Yoon Jung, and their two children Do Yeon Woo and Do Ha Young are loved by 'The Return of Superman' viewers everywhere for their model family image.
