BoA cements herself as the ‘Queen of Kpop’ at the ‘2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards’

The '2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards' kicked off yesterday with draw-dropping performances. Celebrating BoA’s 20th-anniversary as a K-Pop pioneer, the MAMA’s included a tribute performance by her juniors. WINTER of SM’s new girl group, aespa, (G)I-DLE, YooA of Oh My Girl, and IZ*ONE kicked off the charismatic medley performances of throwback hit including ID; Peace B, Listen To My Heart, Tree, and Atlantis Princess.
Displayed for audiences is BoA’s Korean, Japanese, and American discography highlighting her everlasting impact and success. They all combine to form a massive golden number one. It leads into a voice introducing BoA as the “queen of K-Pop.”
She performs her mega-hit No. 1, followed by a performance of Only One with SHINee’s Taemin. Finally, she closes her segment with an energetic performance of her newest track, BETTER.
To top the night off, BoA won the INSPIRED ACHIEVEMENT Award.
