In the hilarious third episode of BoA’s reality show, Nobody Talks to BoA, BoA and SM’s Executive Director, Lee Soo Man, show their much expressed father-daughter relationship. Inside Lee Soo Man’s office, the episode starts with BoA recounting the debate the two of them had on the building’s 5th floor until 4 AM about her 2018 appearance on the show Knowing Brothers--a discussion he says he can’t remember because he never wins them

“Eventually, you won in our battles,” he says, making everyone laugh. “So, you won, and I can’t remember.”

BoA reveals that they’ve known one another for 22 years. And it’s all on display as they continue to joke, interrupt each other, and laugh at their antics. They go back and forth over how BoA’s 10th album, BETTER, is shaping up, giving fans an up-close and personal look at these so-called “debates.” Lee Soo Man explains that he picked a title track called Don’t Call Me, but BoA instead chooses another.

“I heard you complained a lot about me,” Lee Soo Man says with a smile. “You didn’t want to use the title track I prepared.”

Bluntly, BoA says no. “You asked me to choose one out of the two, so I chose the other.”

In a surprise moment, SHINee’s Minho stops by before his military release. The three laugh as Lee Soo Man confesses he saw BoA as scary, saying, “when I met her I didn’t predict she would tell me to do things. Go out, go in, change the song.” Minho, on the other hand, saw BoA as a celebrity from his dreams.

The episode’s highlight came when BoA mentioned how she and Lee Soo Man had fun drinking the 4 AM debate night. She says it was a debate, while he says she spent 4 hours scolding him, causing everyone to laugh. But, BoA remembers what he said to her as he got into his car.

“Hey! I want to drink more with you,” she says, evoking Lee Soo Man’s words. “But I’m so scared of you. So, I’m going home.”
