Actor Park Sun Ho is striving for his idol dreams on Mnet's 'Produce X 101.'
On the first episode of the competition show that aired on May 3, the trainees went through a level test. One of the unexpected figures that showed up for the audition is Park Sun Ho, a successful actor who has starred in the dramas 'Love Cells,' 'Rude Miss Young-ae,' 'Hospital Ship,' and more.
The sidusHQ actor revealed he initially entered the entertainment industry with dreams of becoming an idol. He was an idol trainee under Starship Entertainment for years. In fact, he started training before former SISTAR member Soyu, who's currently on 'Produce X 101' as a trainer.
Park Sun Ho said, "I prepared for my debut under Starship but I kept getting eliminated from the debut group." He became a successful actor instead but couldn't let go of his dreams of becoming an idol.
He said, "I was doing well as an actor but it hits me time to time. Like when I watch music shows or go to their concerts and see them perform. I could've been one of them. I want to dance and sing on stage."
With deep sincerity, Park Sun Ho said, "I know some may not perceive me kindly because I've been promoting as an actor but I've been dreaming of becoming an idol since I was young. I am holding on to this opportunity like as if it's my last for my unachieved dreams. I will do my best."
Before watching Park Sun Ho's performance, trainer Kwon Jae Seung said, "I don't think I can watch this. I was really close with him." It turns out Kwon Jae Seung trained Park Sun Ho when he was under Starship.
Park Sun Ho impressively performed "Youth." Kwon Jae Seung wiped away tears after watching the stage, and said, "He was with me at Starship and he watched all other trainees debut for a very long time. He's doing well as an actor so I didn't understand why he's trying out..."
Park Sun Ho was ranked B in the first evaluation. You can watch his stage below.
