Actress Kim Ji Won opened up about the challenges, uncertainties, and excitements of taking on a character in a world she has never experienced before, for tvN's upcoming blockbuster drama series 'Arthdal Chronicles'.
In the ancient story of 'Arthdal Chronicles', Kim Ji Won plays the role of a young woman named Tanya - the next head of a native clan known as the Wahan clan. Regarding the reason why she chose to accept the role of Tanya in 'Arthdal Chronicles', actress Kim Ji Won revealed, "In the beginning of the drama, Tanya does not start off knowing anything about becoming the next progenitor of her clan; she knows nothing about becoming a protector or a leader. Because she's just an ordinary girl from the clan. However, she must gradually face the path of answering her true calling. I felt that she is a character who undergoes this experience more intensely than anyone else, and so I think that's why I chose this character."
Next, Kim Ji Won gave her initial reaction to the world of 'Arthdal Chronicles'. "Because it deals with a civilization that I've never imagined, it was difficult for me to even attempt to imagine it unfold. But I felt the charm in becoming a member of the first ever civilization of the first ever era."
Finally, Kim Ji Won shared, "At first, you may react with uncertainty and unfamiliarity, the same way I reacted when I first saw the script. But I think that such feelings will lead to new experiences."
