Back again this year at the Los Angeles State Historic Park is the second annual 'Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival' put on by 88rising. In March, 88rising revealed the first half of the event's lineup, which included Joji, Rich Brian, Higher Brothers, NIKI, and August 08, so Korean music fans should be happy to hear about the label's big announcement regarding the other half of the lineup. The festival, set for August 17, 2019, announced today the addition of four globally influential music acts including Chinese superstar and GOT7 member, Jackson Wang, K-Pop boy group sensation, iKON, and talented Asian rappers, DPR Live, and Dumbfoundead.
Head in the Clouds will be the largest and most diverse programming from an Asian perspective to date and 88rising is set to continually make waves of changes and firsts for Asian entertainment and culture globally. This year's Head in the Clouds festival is a single day event with art installations and deliciously tantalizing food specially curated by 626 Night Market!
Can't wait until August? Don't worry - 88rising will be sharing exclusive artist content via TikTok, which just last month hosted the massively viral #microwavechallenge set to Joji’s “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK”. You may have seen your favorite K-Pop star nail this challenge!
The Head in the Clouds Music and Arts Festival is praised by Billboard as “The Asian Hip-Hop Festival You Need To Know”. Though last year was the group's first ever attempt at a festival, the event was wildly successful and attracted over 10,000 attendees. Revered by the likes of The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, CNN, Forbes, Bloomberg, Billboard, Pitchfork and Los Angeles Times, 88rising is at the intersection of innovation and inclusion. Their steadfast dedication to create exceptionally unique and groundbreaking content has solidified their place both in the industry and on the festival circuit for years to come.
