Hwang Hana, the only granddaughter of Namyang Dairy Founder, as well as JYJ Yoochun's ex girlfriend apparently bragged about her connections to the police.
According a report by the Sisa Journal on the 2nd, Hana showed off her connections with high-ranking police officers to her acquaintances. Sisa claimed that they had obtained contents of a katalk conversation between Hwang Hana and an acquaintance and according to the conversation, Hana had a bad fight with mom where she said, "I do everything in hiding. She (my mother) hates me because of the accident. I have a lot of people trying to scam me." This conversation reportedly happened in December 2015 when Hwang Hana's drug investigation case concluded.
In August and September 2015, Hwang Hana filed a lawsuit against a blogger for defamation from a report about her that claimed she had shown off that she was well acquainted with high ranking police officers. At the time of the lawsuit, Hana had posted a photo on SNS with the Police Chief. An acquaintance of Hana's revealed that Hana had bragged about the association saying, "My uncle and father are very close to the police chief. They're best friends."
This was also around the time Hana was being investigated for taking and supplying meth. Hana had reportedly been charged with using methamphetamine in September 2015 as well as inhaling hemp in December 2009. But not once was she summoned for an investigation by the Police. Instead, her college friend, Cho Moo, who Hana had been taking/supplying drugs with was sentenced by the Seoul District Court to 2.5 years in prison in 2016. At the time of the ruling, Cho said that she had taken drugs with Hwang Hana and Hana's name appeared 8 times in the drug distribution list. But Cho was sentenced to prison and Hana received no punishment in the case.
On April 2nd, the Intelligence Crime Investigation Department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed that they believe there was an issue in the investigation process of the drug case in 2015 involving Hwang Hana and have re-opened the investigation.

i used to think Kdramas Exaggerated the issues in Korea where Chaebols got away Scot free because they bribed police, and prosecutors and even judges.
I was thinking, OH Come on, its JUST a DRAMA, it cant be seriously that corrupt in Real World, the police cant be that incompetent and the govt letting all that happen, when the dramas are already ACTING it out for everyone to see..
Looks like i was wrong, maybe its really as bad or worse. especially when i see how arrogant chaebols like the daughter of Korean Air can be to order a plane back to the airport when its on the runway, just to drop off a steward who made her angry over a packet of peanuts served to her in a packet and not on a plate.
