Who is guilty?...of what exactly?

03/13/2019

First and foremost, the terms 'haters' and 'oppalogists' are just a cop out from having to have a real discussion. At the end of the day, while it is understandable to be considerate of world issues. No one who is reading these entries are indirectly or directly affected. Thus, the trading of insults is unnecessary and just show lack of basic knowledge and understanding. Now let's go step by step from the beginning. I will state what is known and questions to think about.

This post is not meant to antagonize anyone. It merely to engage in a conversation.

To begin:

Some people say that this scandal is not really unexpected because he was already sketchy because he had a one night stand with a woman (someone alleged a prostitue). How does this show that HE is sketchy? Why is it sketchy that a adult male indulges in sex. Why is he at fault for her taking a picture of him without his consent? As been reported, the woman in question did not claim that he raped her, but that they had rough sex.

Club Scandals:

Burning Sun:The girl in the video who was dragged out, allegedly drugged possibly drunk as well, where is she?

Happy Balloon scandal: Seungri was alleged to be taking drugs through a photo. However, the angle could have been intentional to build narrative. It happens in media all the time. If someone was using drugs, not only would it stay in their system for a long timebut they wouldn't be able to just stop using drugs. Seungri was proven to not be taking drugs on two different drug test.

Mr. Kim was proven innocent of the sexual harassment allegations. (A man, allegedly a VVIP, for some reason attacked Mr. Kim as he was passing by and left unhindered while the bouncers dragged Mr. Kim out and beat him. Mr. Kim was then taken to the police station where the police also proceeded to beat him in the presence of his mother). Who is the VVIP?

Seungri's Club Arena was fined for tax violations, but didn't he pay the fine already? So what was the point in mentioning that?

In the texts where, allegedly, Seungri's texts are shown, he is just replying to others in a manner that truly does not indicate guilt of any kind.

As for the alleged prostitution, there is no real solid evidence being presented here. It is said that Seungri invited and paid for women to from an adult establishment (i'm assuming a night club) to attend a party. It is alleged that he said to bring attractive women. (ex, for a bachelorette/bachelor party, the dancers you would invite wouldn't look like Igor or Fiona the Ogre, right? Just because dancers are invited to dance to help the party does not mean that they are obligated to have sex with someone. They could very well choose to do it themselves as they are grown). Where are the girls in the alleged prostitute scandal?

Jung Joon Young just recently admitted to filming and sharing videos of women he had sex with in a group chat without the consent of the women. This could result to as much as 5 years in jail and a fine of $2,500, if I remember correctly.  What are those others in the group chat guilty of exactly? Not reporting to the police? What would be the legal matters as far as that?

Jonghun of the band FTIsland was involved in a drunk driving incident which resulted in him paying a fine and revoked license as is customary for someone with the blood alcohol content he had at the time. From the texts, it is evident that someone helped Jonghun keep the incident quiet from the media. Is it a crime to not report it to the media? Are South Korean celebrities obligated to tell their everyday issues to media?

Moreover, There are several artists from many groups that were involved in drunk driving incidents (ex: Super Junior Kangin, JYJ JaeJoong, 2PM Nickhun and more) but remained in their respective groups. Why are people so stressed on removal or suspension when not only did he pay his dues but the incident was a while ago?  He was already punished by law.

-->(I will say that obviously S.K is an alcoholic country. In every drama, movie, variety, you can count on someone drinking a bottle of soju. I am sure that these celebrities are not the only ones who get in accidents and have these things happen to them. -->On a personal note, my brother has had multiple DUIs, he doesn't drink as much now at least not to that point, but does his past DUIs make him an evil monster? No. Reckless, yes. And if it had resulted in an fatal accident, then he would be negligent not a monster which is still punishable by law. Does that mean that he should quit his job and live in a homeless shelter and not seek to do/be better?)

Highlight's Junhyung claims that he could not recount the group chat and as such his company reported as such. But how does one expect someone to remember a chat from 2015 when most do not save message for even a week. How would someone be able to remember something like that that far back? And as for the fact that allegedly he was in the group chat, again what is he guilty of? Not alerting the police?

As far and only for those who were in the group chat, did they share any videos back? Because they can't really be blamed for what someone sends them. While it would be in poor taste, the reactions to the videos, it is not something that could really result in understandable punishment. Again, would it be for not alerting the police?

I feel like, in general, it is easier to hate or discard or want the disbandment of a group/idol when you were not a fan in the first place.

Note: We must also be mindful of how speech can get mistranslated from one language to another.

Is there anything anyone else wishes to contribute to the discussion? Please let me know what you all think in the comments below.

I will say that the new chatroom is alleged simply because I just woke up and have not read much into yet to be 100% certain. I will write down what is being said.

-->As of today, it has been revealed that CNBLUE's Jonghyun also had a chatroom with Jung Joon Young. This would be the 5th chatroom being mentioned. In this, chatroom. Apparently, Jonghyun himself shared a photo of a sleeping woman. It his not been stated yet who she is, how she was dressed or if there were videos that Jonghyun sent, but I will say at this moment that if the woman is contacted and didn't consent to the picture or for it to be shared, I am not sure what punishment Jonghyun will face, but the investigators actually have something on him since HE shared content, I think only the photo is mentioned as of now. It would actually hold up in court.

10:21 AM: As I read further, I see that he also had some conversations in which he (Jonghyun) was very sexual and degrading to the women and their over all connection. However, being a disgusting man is not a new thing. Look at what can be held in court, if he shared/photographed without consent then the investigators have something. For the comments, "send someone over" and ""yesterday" the investigators will have to find out if whether whoever was sent was paid to have sex and where exactly is the "yesterday" referencing?

This chatroom does not show evidence of Jonghyun knowing about Jung Joon Young's other chatroom where he sent videos of himself having sex. Jonghyun's case is a little different.

First of all, If someone showed me a video of rape I would remember that. Second. Even if the other parties just saw the text messages but where not part of the wrongful actions it is still considered a crime to not report to the police. Its a crime.

third. If it weren't a crime it would still be considered immoral. You see an unconscious woman getting raped and ur not gonna say anything? You aren't going to speak for a victim? If you were the one in those videos would you be okay that several loved kpop stars just saw said video, without saying anything. Not only not saying anything, but also laughing behind ur back, calling you a slut.

It's not only about a crime or who is guilty. It's about being human.

Everything that happened in that club was his responsibility, that's owning a club for you. Don't get to enjoy the perks without taking the downside. HE WAS a registered owner that MAKES HIM responsible. Watch the charges stack up because accusations against that place include drug distribution, assault, harassment, solicitation of prostitution that's all as much on his head as anybody else involved in it. Know associates of his and employees were even trying to frame up kim to keep it all quiet.

Same with the chat ANYONE who was a part of it is a disgusting human being for not doing the right thing and reporting it, may not have committed crimes but it is disgusting.

Sad thing is there enables who are most likely there agencies paid to keep it quiet when they were profitable but watch them let those horrible individuals take the fall alone.

Everyone knew this stuff was going on, they ignored it because it was in there best interest, we are just a quilty of ignoring it all too just because we are fans.
