It looks like actress Merry Lee (Lee Mae-ri) will not hold the 'Me Too' press conference after all.

The actress spoke with Sports DongA on the 29th and stated, "I will not be holding the press conference. The things I want to say have already been revealed through several interviews and I'm mentally overwhelmed. I felt exhausted after reckless news articles came out and my mother is really having a hard time.  The work that I'm doing in Qatar is important too so I plan to just focus on that."

A secretary from the civic organization group that was planning the event for her also spoke out and said, "The press conference has not yet been canceled. We're currently trying to persuade her (Merry Lee).  We must respect the victim's decision.  Please don't attack her."

Merry Lee had previously planned to hold a press conference in early April to expose corrupt public officials as she had been a victim of sexual harassment and was forced to serve drinks for public figures. She had planned to share additional instances of the sexual harassment through the conference but she has since then decided to cancel the event. 

The actress currently resides in Qatar and is working as a promotional ambassador for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
